LikeLike Reply Hey… I am fairly new to writing myself, so I am not sure how much value I can add. In any case, here are two tips that you may find useful: 1) Find your writing style – In my case, I discovered that I am most comfortable in writing poems in 5-7-5 (Haiku / Senyru) and 5-7-5-7-7 (Tanka) syllables. This link will give you common literary styles https://mindlovemiserysmenagerie.wordpress.com/glossary-of-forms-poetic-terminology-and-literary-devices/ However, if you feel free form works best for you, stick to it. 2) Like most other things in life, practice makes perfect. So, keep writing. The more you write, the better you will get. Hope this helps !!!
