तब तो नहीं पूछते हो
कि जल कहाँ से आया।
रोटी का कौर तोड़ते वक़्त
क्या कभी पूछा है
कि अन्न किसने उगाया।
तुम्हारे लिए सरहद पर
हँसते हुए गोली खाने को
मज़हब कभी न आड़े आया।
तो फिर
किस हक़ से पूछते हो तुम
रंग क्या है अपराध करने वाले का
मज़हब क्या है पड़ोस में रहने वाले का
धर्म क्या है भोजन के निवाले का
ओहदा क्या है प्रेम में मतवाले का
आओ
ऐसे एक नए युग का निर्माण करें
जहाँ इंसान होना ही उसकी पहचान हो
