I managed to forget you- at last
I hear a voice say
Amnesia – his memory lost
I walked on a twisted road
but lost direction
close to your abode
vanishing destinations
sabotaged flights, and
disabled navigation
dried stains of tears
tautened smile muscles
unused for years
I existed once – an entity
alive and kicking
now- a forgotten identity

Your poems often make me think if it is possible to empower another person so much – to the extent of obliterating the self. Gurudutt and Dilip Kumar played these roles long back, but Shahrukh in Devdas was termed a loser by the young audience. Salman tried it once to encash on his separation from Ash, but then the trend just disappeared. A Veere di wedding may seem extreme to some, but has an audience to make it the success it was.
