one
blow
after
another
what do you reckon
that my heart is unbreakable
one
can
forgive
some mistakes
other transgressions
are damn near unpardonable
they
say
love can
conquer all
but these differences
between us are unbridgeable

The fib gives a lovely visual format, if length of words is chosen carefully. The pathos in the narration spills out similarly, intense yet controlled.

If you permit me to say this – I see a gradual shift in the mental process of your protagonist. I’ve deliberately changed the tone to optimistic in a few translations. The coach in me finds it worthwhile 🙂

Ha ha… that was not the mental process of the protagonist… rather the poet thinking he’s found a niche… believe it or not, there’s a genre of Hindi poetry called “nirashavad”… there was a time such poetry was in vogue even in Bollywood…

BTW, protagonist is the main character in a plot, The issue with characters and thought-processes is – they acquire a life of their own, but flow out of our pen or fingers on the keyboard 🙂

Very nice form, where these look like falling tears. There is anguish and humility here.
